First Fleet Convict Bartholomew Reardon
Bartholomew was an old man when convicted, but a vigorous man despite his age. With his wife Hannah Ronay, Lady Juliana, they lived on Norfolk Island during the first settlement. They had three children, two died on Norfolk Island, as did Bartholomew in 1807, and the headstones can still be seen there. Bartholomew jnr went to Van Diemen’s Land and became a successful farmer.
